Brought to you by Cindy Kozak and New Day Coaching.
It's A New Day, A New Life, A New You!
* * * * * * * * SPECIAL OFFER FOR SOAR SUBSCRIBERS. My E-book "101 Everyday Ways to Weight
Control"
is now available. In it, you'll learn how to best use drinking water to help you lose pounds, which drinks you should stay away from – it's not just soda pop, what not to do with your vegetables before you eat them, why fiber is so important and why you need to eat more of it -- and much, much more. To get your own copy and begin incorporating healthy habits into your life,
click here. The price is a mere $3.95 and the information is priceless.
AND FOR THOSE OF YOU WHO HAVE PURCHASED THIS E-BOOK, HERE'S TIP #105: Most of us eat when we're not hungry because we find comfort in food. This is dangerous because food then becomes more than a means to nourish
your body -- it becomes a "friend" that comforts you in your down times. When you want to eat, ask yourself if you're hungry. If the answer is "No", then H.A.L.T. -- do not eat if you
feel Hurt, Angry, Lonely or Tired! Use food as it was intended to be used -- to fuel your body, not to comfort your mind. * * * * * * * * What is Your Mantra? I am a firm believer that the tape
running in our heads makes us who we are. And, if your tape carries a damaging message, you can change it. A friend of mine has a million ideas. I stand in awe of her creativity because she's always
thinking of things to do and ways to get ahead. Yet, she never takes any action. I asked her why and she said "I could never do that." That was her mantra -- the reason she never took
action. The tape she played in her head told her she could never do anything. Lately, I've been paying close attention to my mantra. I should say "mantras" because I have several. One mantra that
I fall back on when I have to do something I find difficult is "I'm not ready today. I'll do it tomorrow." This allows me to procrastinate indefinitely. Another is "No one would be interested
in this" -- particularly useful when I'm putting together a new seminar that I'm afraid won't sell. I do have some positive tapes that loop through my head occasionally. For example, when faced with something
I've never done before, I use Eleanor Roosevelt's words "You must do the thing you think you cannot do." And about a week before giving a presentation, my often-repeated mantra is "I am strong. I am
powerful. I am confident. I'm a dynamic speaker and I have something to say". The bottom line here is that what we tell ourselves runs our lives. So when the going gets tough, what does the tape in your
head play? What mantra do you use? What do you say to yourself that holds you back or drives you forward? One extremely important thing to remember is -- if you don't like your mantra, you can find a
new one that serves you in a positive way. Changing your mantra can change your life! ~~Weekly Challenge~~ I want to know what you say to yourself -- the good and the not so good. So become aware of your
mantra. Listen carefully to what you say to yourself. Write it down and email me to let me know what's on that tape looping through your head. I'll try out some of the responses to see how they work
for me. And, in a future SOAR, I'll print some of the responses -- anonymously of course. Good Luck! In an effort to reduce the many emails I receive selling me things I don't
need and offering special medications to help me enlarge body parts that I don't have, I am deleting the @ sign when I show my email address on my webpages and using AT instead. Please note when you send me
an email you must still use @ and not AT. If you would like to share any comments or if you have
suggestions for topics, please email me at cindyATnewdaycoaching.com I love to hear from you!
